Local Searches Outpaces Online Searches

Here are some great news to know if you own a business or may be run one of those brick and mortar store or services like a restaurant, pub, window contractor, etc..

According to Yellow Pages Association they state that “currently local searches outpaces overall online searches”! ComScores also backs up the data in consumer searches to find local businesses, products or services last year up by 58%.

Now think about that, more and more people are getting on the computer and looking for things to research, to go have lunch,  to browse the latest West Coast Vinyl window, and to buy something online!

Let me rephrase that people aren’t just toting around a huge computer but their cell phones or pda which has internet capability.  Yeh, it is the wave of the future here, and will continue to grow.

So for you Joe Roofer General Contractor, Rose Queen of hair stylist.  I recommend that you establish an online profile with:

  • Facebook
  • Linkedin
  • Google Local Business Center
  • Craigslist in your area
  • Twitter
  • Local Yahoo
  • Google Local
  • Hot Frog
  • Merchant Circle
  • Contractor Talk
  • InfoUSA
  • Localeze
  • InsiderPages
  • UniversalBusinessListing.org
  • OpenList.com
  • CityVoter.com

These are just to name a few, but remember to input your business in the right category and feeds. When I say to input your business in these profiles I mean as many as possible. West Coast Vinyl for example has over 10 of these profiles to be exposed.  Yes, this is a lot of work just to brand and expose your business, so if your business needs help, give us a call.
